Mr Frostie specializes in premium soft serve reduced fat ice cream. The Shakes are fabulous and the dip cones; chocolate,cherry and butterscotch are great.  We also offer cold deli sandwiches that are a beach favorite. Cherry Cokes,Chocolate Sodas and Rootbeer Floats fly out the door on the weekends.  Buy a t-shirt or sweatshirt and take your picture somewhere interesting and we'll put it up in the window with the other famous faces.

 

History

Established in 1949

Mr Frostie was started in this location in 1949.No we are not the original owners(we are not that old) but we have owned it the longest since 1978. Mr Frostie is primarily a family business although all the kids that have worked here are not ours by birth. Our five children have worked here and three  of them still do.The two grandkids (only 6 yrs old ) are in training. Mr Frostie has always served soft-serve ice cream and many in and from the beach have grown up on the stuff. Let us know how long you've been coming to Mr. Frosties.

 

Meet the Business Owner: John C.

John (the guy with the glasses) has worked at Mr Frosties for 38 years. His parents owned Mr Frosties for 7 years in the sixties. John is a graduate from Mission Bay High school and continued his education after graduation. John graduated from Loyola Marymount Los Angeles in 1976. Prior to purchasing Mr. Frostie he worked for Marriott Corp. managing a Farrells Ice Cream Parlor in the Los Angeles area.
